A expertise de quem realiza a Feira do Morango em Brazlândia há 20 anos motivou Marcelo Pereira a idealizar e organizar a I Feira da Uva e do Vinho do DF, ao lado do produtor logístico João Paulo D’Araújo . O resultado foi um evento prestigiado por milhares de pessoas e a satisfação dos participantes da feira com o sucesso das vendas e a divulgação dos produtos – que não ficou restrito a vinhos finos, mas incluiu também vinhos de mesa, sucos de uva, geleias, iogurtes, queijos, embutidos, artesanatos e flores. O evento aconteceu no último final de semana de julho e no primeiro de agosto e foi realizado no Parque de Exposições de Planaltina-DF para prestigiar os produtores de uva do local.
A finalidade do evento foi apresentar o potencial do DF no cultivo da fruta – tanto de mesa, como a vitis vinifera. “A Feira deu visibilidade a muitos agricultores que já produziam uva e derivados há mais de uma década no Distrito Federal e não eram conhecidos”, explicou Marcelo Pereira, idealizador da Feira.
Além da ABS, também apoiaram o evento: Associação Cresce-DF, a Secretaria de Turismo do Distrito Federal, a Administração de Planaltina, a Emater – DF e a Secretaria de Estado da Agricultura, Abastecimento e Desenvolvimento Rural e Superintendência Federal de Agricultura (SFA – DF) e o Sicoob.
